For anyone who's ever fantasized about piloting a fully-working mech, that dream is about to become a reality. Or, at least, if you've got $1.3 million to spare in your bank account. For that ludicrously expensive price tag, Suidobashi Heavy Industry will assemble for you a customized pseudo-war machine that's apparently designed to be safe enough to drive around the city streets of Japan. Naturally, you'd expect a certain degree of ease whilst piloting a $1 million vehicle, but that isn't the case for the Kurata, as the designers warn that "it doesn't guarantee you safety and comfort." Then again, you'll probably be too busy messing around with the built-in targeting system and the harmless weapons (costs $50-80,000 extra) to even think about getting comfortable. Weighing in at 9,920 pounds and travels at a top speed of six miles per hour, the Kurata can't possibly go toe-to-toe with even the lowliest Light BattleMechs, but is nevertheless one cool hunk of metal.
