Free beta weekends are one of the best things around for video games. You get a chance to try out a new title, see many of its features, and determine if it will be worthwhile investing time and money in upon release. Path of Exile has been in closed beta for a while now, but it has had some free weekends in the past. This weekend there is another one, as Path of Exile will have a public stress test weekend starting on Friday, July 27th, at 5pm PDT. Everyone will be able to create an account and try out the action-RPG as much as possible before the event ends on July 29th at 11:59pm PDT. Players will be able to play up to the end of Act Two and even fight the Act Two boss, which is being included for the first time. The passive skill tree layout has been altered as well, plus there are other new additions that you will just have to find out this weekend.
You can head to Path of Exile's website to register and begin downloading the client. If you like what you see, you can purchase access to the closed beta and keep playing after this weekend.
