Battle.net World Championship to be Held in Shanghai

Blizzard has announced that the Battle.net World Championship Series will be held in Shanghai, China on November 17-18, 2012. This two day event will feature the conclusion to the StarCraft 2 World Championship Series, which is still holding national and continental tournaments, as well as the World of Warcraft Arena global finals. In addition to watching the finals for these two games, attendees will also have access to the latest Blizzard games and the ability to meet pro players. Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime said, "The level of StarCraft II and World of Warcraft Arena competition we've already seen around the world has been amazing, so we're anticipating a truly epic finale."

It's interesting that they chose China since they always have a problem getting WoW updates approved there. Maybe there's a hidden agenda here.
