Epic Games may not have had many PC games released over the last few years, but it does want to return to its original platform. Epic recently announced its upcoming title Fortnite will be the first Unreal Engine 4-powered game. Fortnite is a PC-exclusive title so far with a projected release in 2013, which is a little earlier than the 2014 estimate for the first UE4 game. Epic's Cliff Bleszinski tweeted that Fortnite may not always remain a PC-exclusive, but development is strictly for the PC at this time. As for just what Fortnite will be like, well, Epic is describing the game as a co-operative "sandbox survival game." During the day, gamers will have to build fortifications using whatever means available to them in the environment. Once night falls, you will have to retreat to the safety of your fort to defend waves of monsters in the hopes of surviving to morning. Unreal Engine 4 should provide for some spectacular fights and destructions once Fortnite arrives, and I just hope we get some new gameplay videos before long. The debut trailer can be seen below.
