Game development times are a curious beast. Some games can be created and released in short order while others take years before anything definitive is released. Rockstar may not quite rival Valve or Blizzard in terms of long development times, but either way it has apologized to fans by saying the long development times allow for greater quality. The worlds of Rockstar's games like Grand Theft Auto and Max Payne take a lot of time to imagine, create, design, and populate, which means gamers have increasingly longer gaps between entries. Rockstar works as fast as it can, but making sure every piece of animation or sound plays perfectly in a game the size of Grand Theft Auto IV requires a lot of devotion. To try and appease its fans for the long development times, Rockstar released two new screenshots of Grand Theft Auto V. The screenshots show off two different aspects of GTA V, from the immense skyline of downtown Los Santos to a serene lake surrounded by palm trees. The game looks impressive already, but Rockstar is not quite ready to reveal anything more just yet. The developer did tease more screenshots and a new trailer will launch when it is ready, so hopefully that will not be too far away.
