In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the rakk explodes tonight. That is pretty much how the new Borderlands 2 trailer starts off as it parodies a memorable song from Disney's The Lion King. That rakk explodes due to our new group of four characters, each of which should provide for some memorable moments. The trailer itself has some humorous parts scattered around, like some of the bandits moving with the music or the "quiet jungle" being not so quiet after all. The action comes in fast and furious in Borderlands 2, and there is no shortage to the amount of guns we will have access to. Gearbox is going all out with the number of guns in the sequel and we get a good look at some of them in the trailer.
We get a good look at some of the character's abilities, like Zer0's ability to blink out of existence in order to line up a better shot or Salvador's dual wield rampage. Plus there are shots of some new enemies and even more mechs we will have to bring down, so we may need to brush up on our shooting and looting. There is also an appearance by Lilith, the Siren from the first game, although she has some new digs since we last saw her. At the very end, it looks like Gearbox is ready to show off the final look for the Mechromancer character, which will be added later as post-launch DLC (and free for pre-orderers).
Borderlands 2 arrives on September 18th for the PC, PS3, and 360. Long live the Claptraps!
