Clint Hocking, Former Creative Director at LucasArts, Lands with Valve
The end of June brought news that Clint Hocking, creative director at LucasArts, had left his position for an unannounced company. Hocking wrote on his blog that everyone would know soon enough, and that time has now come. Clint Hocking is now an employee at Valve, but what exactly he will be working on is not known at this time. Hocking posted a photo on his Twitter account showing his son inside Valve headquarters in Seattle, Washington, with an accompanying text of "Arrival. (and Son)." Valve has a number of projects currently in development, but I imagine the gaming world wants Hocking to have been brought in to help with Half-Life 2: Episode Three or Half-Life 3. Hocking's past experience on Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory and Far Cry 2 from his time at Ubisoft could come into play to work on the Half-Life sequels, especially since some supposed concept art of Episode Three was leaked. The speculation could get pretty heated over the next several months, so just keep it tuned here for any official word.
