There will soon be no shortage of mech combat games with so many currently in development, which will be a welcome change over previous years. The team at Adhesive Games is at work on Hawken, which has you piloting giant mechs in a first-person view. Hawken will be built on the Unreal Engine and is looking great so far in gameplay videos. A trailer has recently been released, but this one is not loaded with gameplay. The new Hawken trailer is of the live-action variety and it combines live-action, CG, and game art in one thrilling video. The teaser trailer below is the first of a series of digital shorts directed by the creative director of Gears of War, Jeremiah O'Flaherty. The narration sets up the story of Hawken and even shows some of the gameplay footage brought to life, but it does not say too much. We will need to wait for more live-action videos of Hawken to release, which hopefully will not be too long now. Hawken is scheduled to arrive on December 12 of this year.
