Hero Academy Coming to Steam on August 8 - Stirs in TF2 Characters

Anyone with an iOS device has no doubt played or watched someone play Hero Academy. The turn-based strategy game provides a light-hearted atmosphere for anyone to jump in and win some battles, regardless of skill level. You can play against your friends in one sitting or whenever you have the time thanks to the asynchronous battles. Why am I going on about an iOS game? Well that is because Robot Entertainment has announced Hero Academy will arrive on Steam on August 8th. There will be a new heroic team composed of Team Fortress 2 characters for anyone who buys the PC version, and any additional team you buy will unlock an item in Team Fortress 2. I am sure there will be plenty of hats given away, but maybe some other items as well.

Purchasing the Steam version will also allow you to battle any friends who own the iOS version, using the asynchronous system. Set your five moves and let them play out while you or your friend are off doing something else. Teams purchased on either version will work for both, including the TF2 team once you buy the Steam version. You can check out the announcement trailer below and hope that August gets here quickly.
