Back in January several executives of the site MegaUpload were arrested on charges of enabling the distribution of pirated media, and several pieces of property were also confiscated, including computers, cars, and art work. Now the warrants are being struck down in a New Zealand court.
The judge has deemed the warrants invalid because they "did not adequately describe the offences to which they related." This is definitely a victory for the defense as evidence from the confiscated property may not be admissible in a court, because it was obtained under an invalid warrant.
