Though people may not always think of random and weird ideas when they think of Google, there is no doubt the company has come up with some. The latest is actually a demo for Google Docs that has a number of bots collaborate with you on a document. Of course bots are not going to be as able as a human, when it comes to collaborating, but then these authors are dead, so its bots or nothing.
If you would like to see what it's like to work with (virtual) Edgar Allan Poe, Charles Dickens, Emily Dickinson, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, William Shakespeare, and Friedrich Nietzsche, you can check out Docs Demo: Masters Edition. If you are worried about having these literary geniuses edit your work, you can see what they do to mine. The YouTube video is not that great, but fortunately Google stores the entire collaboration so you can share it with others. The link to that is beneath the video.
(Warning, I do use an inappropriate word, so you may want to be careful about where you watch this.)
When Bots Attack (NSFW. No video of this one, but it is really funny. Two of the bots actually fight it out.)
