New PlanetSide 2 Trailer Shows Off Massive Battle

Sony Online's PlanetSide 2 is essentially a remake of the original PlanetSide released nearly a decade ago, but unlike the old one this new one will be a free-to-play title. Sony is promising truly massive battles that anyone will be able to take part of, with the three factions from the first returning. A new trailer for PlanetSide 2 has appeared that shows off a simply massive ground assault. The footage focuses on a base assault with planes flying overhead, bombs exploding, guns firing, and hundreds if not thousands of soldiers running into the fray. All the action is on an epic scale and shows just what Sony has in mind for PlanetSide 2. The game itself looks stunning and even appears to borrow a few cues from recent sci-fi games, but I cannot take an issue with that based on the beauty seen in the video.
