One of the most underappreciated games, yet one of my favorites, is a little title called Okami. The highly stylized cel-shaded graphics were first seen on the PlayStation 2 and then the Nintendo Wii, but Clover Studio's fantastic tale did not receive the attention it deserved. A sequel was released for the Nintendo DS titled Okamiden, but publisher Capcom was leery of launch due to the reception of Okami. However, despite all of that, Capcom has confirmed the PlayStation Network will be receiving Okami HD later this year. As the name implies, Okami HD will feature a 16:9 aspect ratio and high definition graphics, plus PS Move support is being added for brush controls. You can still use the tried and true analog sticks on the DualShock 3, so it is up to you on the control method used (if you own a PS Move that is).
Okami HD is priced at $20 and will release November 1st in Japan. A North American and European launch should follow soon after. The jump from the PS2 to the Wii added better looking graphics, but the PS3 version should finally give everyone the Okami we have been waiting for.
