Nintendo's upcoming Wii U console uses new GamePad controllers that feature a built-in touchscreen. There are all the standard buttons on the GamePad as well, but the 6.2" touchscreen dominates the controller. This touchscreen will add a new level of interaction to video games, but you may be needing to keep an AC adapter nearby. Nintendo has detailed the battery life of the GamePad and it will last between three and five hours. The amount of time will vary depending on screen brightness, so you could squeak out some more use during a gaming session. The GamePad will take about two and a half hours to fully charge, but luckily you will be able to keep playing while it is charging. Three to five hours may not seem like a lot, but then again there have not been many controllers featuring a large touchscreen.
