Star Wars 1313 is undoubtedly one of the most exciting games on E3, and it is also an excellent showcase for strutting Unreal Engine 3's visual prowess. In fact, with the game capable of rendering gorgeous effects and animations this could mean that Unreal Engine 4 might take longer to reach adaption in future titles. Taking place in Coruscant's massive underground hives, the game is essentially a linear experience that throws players along a darker version of the Star Wars universe. "It’s more of a crafted roller coaster ride. You’re not going to have much freedom where you go location-wise, but again within those levels you will have more freedom than you might expect," said Lucasarts' Dominic Robilliard.
However, one aspect of Star Wars that's going to get toned down is the presence of Jedi on Level 1313. With the player cast exclusively as a bounty hunter, Lucasarts' focus on the game seemed to be more on the relatable human aspects of vulnerability and the reliance on weapons and gadgets. "But at the core you still have these vulnerabilities that are a bit more relatable, so you won’t have the demigod complex of a Jedi," remarked Robillard. But if the E3 demo is any indication, Jedi or no Jedi, this could be the Star Wars title that any gamer would want to play.
