The Last of Us Will Not Arrive in 2012

Naughty Dog's The Last of Us E3 trailer surely has everyone wondering when they can get their hands on the game, but Sony has some bad news to share. Speaking to VG247, Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida said The Last of Us will not come out in 2012. Yoshida went on to say the company is not ready to talk about 2013 just yet, but did mention The Last of Us and even God of War: Ascension will not see a release until then. He said Sony's focus for 2012 is about growth and expanding the PS Vita, which is the company's most recent hardware release. Yoshida said he loves what Ubisoft is doing with Assassin's Creed III: Liberation and hopes others follow suit for the PS Vita. As for The Last of Us, a release in 2013 should be a good thing as it will give Naughty Dog plenty of time to perfect it.
