Platinum Games Announces Project P-100 for Wii U
Nintendo held its E3 conference earlier today, but one title curiously absent was the new one from Platinum Games. Project P-100 will be a launch title for the Wii U this holiday season, and Nintendo has taken to call it a "Mass Hero Action" game. Project P-100 features an ensemble of different superheroes trying to protect the planet from a massive alien invasion, but these aliens are too large for a superhero to take on individually. The superheroes have to join their powers and morph into various shapes and weapons to combat these aliens or simply get through the environment. The superheroes can turn into a hang glider to traverse a long chasm, become a giant ladder to scale buildings, turn into gelatin to shield from attack, or even turn into a large sword to defeat the aliens. You can rescue citizens and recruit more heroes to aid while exploring the city, which will be necessary because the more heroes you have, the better your Special Morph Powers will be.
Players can use the Wii U GamePad's touchscreen to command the different heroes, like Bonzai Man, Vending Machine Man, and even Toilet Bowl Man. You can also use the GamePad to explore unseen areas and find hidden items or solve puzzles. Project P-100 looks like a ton of fun already from the trailer below, and I can only imagine it being a popular launch title for the Wii U.
