When Nintendo debuted the Wii U last year, the new tablet controller, dubbed the Wii U GamePad, raised more questions than Nintendo could answer at the time. One of the main ones was just how many GamePads could be used at once, which Nintendo seemed to indicate only one would work at a time with the console. All the footage shown was just of one GamePad and Wii Remotes, but today at E3 Nintendo announced two GamePads can be used at the same time on a Wii U. It is unknown if there will be any limitations with the two GamePads being used at the same time, but at least we know two can be used. Nintendo is not talking much more about it, as even on the E3 show floor the Wii U stations only have one GamePad. Hopefully more information will be revealed later, including the all important price and release date of the Wii U.
