Quantic Dream is a studio that likes to push the boundary of what exactly a video game can be. Indigo Prophecy (Fahrenheit) and Heavy Rain are both masterfully crafted titles with a great narrative, but neither one is what you could call a traditional video game. There are characters to play as, sure, but these are games that play more like a movie than anything else. At Sony's E3 conference earlier, Quantic Dream showed off its brand new game - BEYOND: Two Souls. BEYOND is the tale of a girl, Jodie Holmes, and her extraordinary powers thanks to an invisible entity called Aiden. Quantic Dream has cast Academy Award nominee Ellen Page as Jodie Holmes, with some impressive motion capture to accurately portray her face. Everything you do determines the fate of Jodie, and Quantic Dream is making sure an emotional connection is made to the character. BEYOND: Two Souls looks amazing already, and yes, this is a video game, but we will have to wait until a solid release date is announced before getting our hands on it.
