E3 is kicking off with a bang today, with a plethora of game announcements and trailers bombarding our senses. Ubisoft showed off a new Assassin's Creed III trailer today that is impressively bloody (and bloody impressive). Watching it makes you almost wish for live-action footage, but I suppose we can settle for computer generated. The British and the American forces are squaring off on a battlefield, with a bald eagle watching from a vantage point. Our protagonist Connor starts to talk, and as the eagle flies through the trees we see Connor making his way into a camp. Finding a horse to ride, Connor makes for the battlefield to help change the outcome. The American forces watch from a distance, seemingly impressed with everything Connor can do, until they lend their firepower to his. Connor finds the British commander and unleashes an arrow at his mark, who reveals a surprising secret when Connor moves in for a killing blow.
Assassin's Creed III will arrive on October 30th for the PC, PS3 and 360.
