Patriot Reveals EP Pro SDHC/SDXC Card

Patriot has announced the EP Pro series of flash storage, designed to accommodate the demands of high definition video and photography. The new cards are capable of read and write speeds of 90MB/s and 50MB/s, respectively, when used with UHS-I compatible devices. When used in conjunction with these devices, the EP Pro cards will be able to achieve speeds up to five times faster than standard SDHC cards. The cards will be available in capacities of 16GB and 32GB for SDHC and 64GB and 128GB for SDXC. Product Manager Meng J. Choo stated that “The EP Pro delivers the enhanced performance needed for multimedia enthusiasts who use advanced capture techniques such as burst photography and full 3D videography.” The flash storage cards will begin shipping on July 16.
