Fans of action real-time strategy games or MOBA, like Dota 2 and League of Legends, will soon get a new entry, however this one will be for the consoles. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have announced Guardians of Middle-Earth for the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade to release this fall. Guardians of Middle-Earth is a 5v5 MOBA with more than 20 characters from the Lord of the Rings universe, and Gandalf, Gollum, Thráin, and Sauron are confirmed so far. More characters will be released later on, including some from the upcoming The Hobbit movies. Monolith Productions, famous for F.E.A.R., will be handling development duties for Guardians of Middle-Earth. A MOBA game on the consoles is certainly something you do not see everyday, but I trust Warner Bros. and Monolith can make it a reality.

MOBA games on a console, this seems like it would be tricky to play compared to the pc. It would certainly be a steep learning curve to switch between the two, and aiming would have to be changed a fair bit. Hopefully they can pull it off, but its a shame its not on PC too
