Developer Behind Sleeping Dogs Would Like Next-Gen Consoles to be More Affordable

New game consoles always have a ton of technology packed in, but the launch price leaves a lot of people left out. The new console may be able to do so much and have a ton of great games, but if the launch price is north of $300 then not everyone will want to pick it up. One developer would like to see that changed when the next-generation consoles arrive so more people can pick one up. United Front Games, currently at work on Sleeping Dogs, would like the launch price of the next-generation console to be more affordable so the entire market can pick one up rather than mostly core gamers. United Front's senior producer Jeff O'Connell wants the next-gen to be more accessible, which means a lower price at launch. O'Connell also hope Sony and Microsoft will allow games to make better use of RAM and improved graphical performance, plus motion-capture technology. I am more interested in a lower launch price for the next-gen consoles, since I do not think anyone wants to see another system priced at $600 again.
