Last month Activision took the wraps off of 007 Legends for the PS3 and 360, which is the new James Bond game borrowing elements throughout the franchise's history. 007 Legends will not be a direct tie-in to the new Skyfall movie coming out this year, but it will have levels from it and five other James Bond films. At the time we did not know when to expect it except for sometime this fall, but now Activision has announced 007 Legends will arrive on October 16th. This puts the game releasing around a month before Skyfall, and since the game has levels from the movie, could pose a spoiler risk. Hopefully Activision knows what it is doing, but we will have to see if the release date gets changed around some.
A new trailer for Skyfall has launched (something I am looking forward to on its own), and at the end we get a glimpse of a classic Bond level from 007 Legends. The space station from Roger Moore's Moonraker appears in this trailer and we see Bond fighting his way through it. We also get a glimpse of monstrous villain Jaws, but the trailer ends before too much is revealed. Other missions from the older movies will be revealed at a later date and maybe one or two during E3.
