Tony Hawk's video game franchise will appear once more this summer, but this time it will be a little different. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD has been set for a June release on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade, with Tony Hawk himself spreading the news. Pro Skater HD features levels from the first two games, along with much of the original music from the titles. That HD part after the name means a new game engine will provide a visual facelift to the classic titles, plus hopefully remove any glitches from the original form. There will be both familiar and new characters to skate as, with Tony Hawk, Rodney Mullen, Andrew Reynolds, Eric Koston, Chris Cole, Nyjah Huston, and Tony's son Riley Hawk listed as confirmed characters. Development studio Robomodo is hard at work on Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD, so hopefully we get an exact date and price before long. The game is expected to be around $15, which would be a welcome sight.
