Intel has officially launched its next line of processors, codenamed 'Ivy Bridge'. This first round of CPUs includes 13 quad-core processors aimed at the desktop market. Besides native support for USB 3.0, the Ivy Bridge processors include a die shrink to the 22nm manufacturing process compared to the 32nm Sandy Bridge design. Along with the die shrink comes the promise of faster processing speeds. Intel is also debuting its tri-gate 3D transistor technology with Ivy bridge as well. We've already seen a series of new motherboards based on the 7-series chipsets, so now all we need is to see how the new CPUs perform when paired with one of these new boards. Our roundup includes a series of reviews on the Core i7 3770K, a 3.5GHz quad-core processor with a TDP of 77W with a price of $313. Read on to see how it performs.
