This is certainly not something you want to hear, but it is what it is. Darksiders II has been pushed back to an August release (no solid date yet) in order to give the development team at Vigil more time to polish the game. THQ originally announced a June 26th launch date, but decided to push it back a couple months so the game is as good as it can be. Before you go thinking the delay has something to do with the Wii U version, THQ was quick to act and said no other platforms were the cause of the delay. The PC, PS3, and 360 versions will all arrive in August, with the Wii U version still on track to launch once that system does. Hopefully this extra time fixes as many bugs as possible, plus gives us the high quality product that Vigil is shooting for. A couple extra months should not be too bad of a wait, although for those starting school, you may be hard-pressed for time once Darksiders II launches.
