Patriot has announced a new line of flash storage, the Extreme Performance Series. As part of this new line, Patriot will release flash storage in the SDHC and SDXC form factors. The new cards are compatible with UHS-I devices, and as a result will be able to double the transfer speeds of current Class 10 cards. When used with a compatible device, the cards have read and write speeds up to 50MB/s and 35MB/s, respectively. Capacities of 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB will be available, with the 128GB cards able to hold up to 2,560 minutes of 1080p video or more than 26,000 HD photos. A five year warranty is included, but no mention of price or availability date was made available.
