Tribes: Ascend is a free-to-play FPS game for the PC and is now available to all gamers. Ascend is the fourth game in the Tribes series that dates back to 1998. The game is built on the Unreal Engine 3 and has some impressive graphics. Watching some gameplay videos reminds me of some of the old Unreal Tournament and Quake games. It is a very fast paced shooter that has jump packs and skiing, allowing for players to zip around the map. The game features a number of different classes, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. The game has no single player mode and has several multi-player game modes including Capture the Flag and Team Deathmatch.
