Good news everyone, as the Wasteland 2 Kickstarter fund has surpassed $2.2 million. Obsidian Entertainment stated it would help out if the funded amount hit $2.1 million, which it easily did. Now, Obsidian and Chris Avellone will be providing tools to help inXile Entertainment get assets into Wasteland 2 faster, meaning more can be added to the game. The amount right now sits at $2,239,648, which is a staggering amount to revive a classic game. This just goes to show that Kickstarter projects are proving to be a great way to go, especially after the success of Tim Schafer. Brian Fargo outlined what will be added to Wasteland 2 if the amount hits $2.5 and even $3 million, with more designers being brought in, more level scripters, and even more artwork added.
There are still seven days remaining to add your donation, so get out there and support it! As an incentive, inXile released the first concept art for Wasteland 2, which you can check out below and download here.
