Tim Schafer and the team at Double Fine have plenty of reasons to be smiling. The Kickstarter project started over a month ago has ended and raised over $3.3 million to see Double Fine design a point-and-click adventure game. The origial goal set by the team was $400,00, which was broken in mere hours, and now $3,336,371 is the final tally. That is a staggering number and helps to ensure the adventure game will have everything in it and more. Schafer has said the game will be available for the PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, and select Android devices, meaning pretty much everyone will be able to enjoy a classic adventure game. Double Fine is extremely grateful to the more than 87,000 backers who helped make the game a reality, and the success of the Kickstarter project has started others down the path. Wasteland 2 has a Kickstarter page to help reach the $900,000 goal, and as of press time, is currently at a little over $767,000 with a month to go.
