If you are hankering for more content for a certain FPS game, EA has revealed three upcoming expansions to Battlefield 3. The three DLCs will be staggered throughout the remainder of this year, but only the first one has an announced release window. Battlefield 3: Close Quarters will release in June and focuses on infantry combat. The action will only allow for 2-16 players on the four new indoor maps, but there will be new 10 new weapons to use both in the DLC and the main game. The PlayStation 3 will receive the Close Quarters DLC a week before the other platforms, due in part to EA's exclusive agreement with Sony. In the autumn there will be the Armored Kill DLC, which adds new new vehicles and the largest map in the series' history. Winter will see the End Game DLC, although EA was mum on the details for it. Pricing for all three is currently unknown, but none of them will be free.
All of these DLCs will drop after the upcoming patch, so there hopefully will not be any lingering bugs. EA also announced console versions of BF3 will be receiving customizable servers to rent, which will bring the console games in line with the PC version.
