While we'll have to wait for the official word, reports indicate that MSI's upcoming GT780 GX laptop will be handsomely configured with some game-shredding components. Sitting at the top of that rumored list is a Core i7 Extreme Edition 2920XM CPU, which runs at a blistering Turbo mode speed of 4.16GHz. What's going to keep that beastly processor from overheating is Intel's "Cooler Boost" heat-sink, but you probably would not want this on your lap with its 3.85kg heft. A generous amount of 16GB DDR3 RAM and a GeForce GTX570M 3GB DDR5 graphics card have also been added to match the mighty Intel chip's computing prowess. Storage-wise there's space for two 750GB hard disks, with a nine-cell battery for longer mobile gaming sessions. A backlit Steelseries gaming keyboard and THX sound provide some extra oomph to an already impressive spec list, so you can probably guess at how expensive this portable monster will be when it's finally unveiled by MSI.
