Corsair is adding to its arsenal of solid state drives with the release of the Accelerator series, designed to act as cache drives. Corsair bills the drives as a way to boost performance of Windows based PCs with minimal cost and hassle. The inclusion of Dataplex caching software from NVELO allows for improved boot times and very quick file access. To start seeing the benefits, users simply need to connect the drives to a SATA port and install the caching software. An immediate speed boost should be noticeable, with improvements up to five times current speeds. Corsair will offer the drives in capacities of 30GB, 45GB, and 60GB with prices of $69, $84, and $99, respectively.
