The other week you saw THQ clarified some rumors about the "canceled" 2014 lineup. At the time, THQ said it would focus more on the core gamers and get away from so many kids titles, and then talked about how successful the company was in 2011. Today, THQ is refocusing even further on its "strongest franchises," which means games for the core audience instead of kids. THQ talked about how well Saints Row: The Third has done and just how that shows what the refocused strategy can do. THQ also mentioned Darksiders II, Saints Row, Warhammer 40,000, Guillermo del Toro's inSane, a new project from the team behind Assassin's Creed, and the best part, a new Company of Heroes. There was a Company of Heroes Online planned at one point, but it was ultimately canceled, so a true sequel to Company of Heroes would be a thing of beauty.
THQ looks to have a lot planned for this year and beyond, just try not to be too heartbroken over no more Spongebob games.
