EA has two big RPGs launching over the next few months. February brings the new title Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, while March will see the launch of Mass Effect 3, the thrilling conclusion to Commander Shepard's story. Both titles will have a demo release to give players a chance to try out the games, and it looks like EA has a little extra planned. The Mass Effect 3 and Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning demos will feature some item crossover, meaning you can unlock a couple of items in each game for playing the demo. When you start the demo for Mass Effect 3, you will unlock a version of Shepard's armor for use in Reckoning. Upon completion of the ME3 demo, you will unlock a pair of "Omniblades" in Reckoning that resemble the new weapon used by Shepard. Likewise, starting up the Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning demo will unlock the Reckoner Knight Armor and the "Chakram Launcher" for Mass Effect 3. Both the items for ME3 have been designed by Todd McFarlane, who is designing the world of Reckoning.
The Mass Effect 3 and Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning demos should be launching soon. Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning launches in full on February 7th, while Mass Effect 3 comes out on March 6th. Both games are for the PC, PS3, and 360.
