GIGABYTE Unveils Next Gen Motherboard Technologies at CES 2012
GIGABYTE is showcasing several new technologies as CES 2012 that will be featured on its motherboards in 2012. The forthcoming 7 series motherboards will come with GIGABYTE's Digital Power Engine called 3D Power that offers digital control of the main onboard power zones enabling you to manipulate and monitor power provided to second generation Intel processors on the LGA 1155 socket.
GIGABYTE is also unveiling its second generation 3D BIOS using UEFI DualBIOS technology. This allows users two levels of operation using either 3D Mode or Advanced Mode that replaces the traditional BIOS with a more intuitive and graphical user interface.
Two new G1.Killer motherboards will be launched later this year starting with the G1.Sniper 3 board with onboard Creative audio and dual LAN connections based on the Intel Gigabit and Killer Game Networking controllers. The second board is the G1.Sniper M3 which is a gaming board in a micro ATX form factor.
GIGABYTE also disclosed the fact that most of the ATX boards in 2012 will feature a mSATA connector allowing the use of a cheaper mSATA solid state drive to boost system responsiveness. The company is also entering the small business market with the introduction of its GA-B75M-D3H motherboard that comes with the ability to remotely monitor and manage the PC.
