GameStop 'Cancels' The Last Guardian Due to Lack of Release Date

Sometimes a game takes a little long to release after its initial announcement. In the case of Blizzard or id Software, we have come to practically expect that, but other companies not always. Sony is learning that the hard way, as GameStop mistakingly listed The Last Guardian as canceled in its store and on its website. It even sent out an automated phone message to pre-orderers saying the game was canceled and what the customer can do to get their money back. The problem is, Sony has never canceled The Last Guardian, and despite the delays and loss of Team Ico's lead designer, TLG is still on track to come out. GameStop reacted quickly by saying a database error caused the system to say The Last Guardian was canceled. GameStop will add the game back into its system once a firm release date has been announced, and hopefully Sony can come through on that swiftly.
