Guild Wars 2 Closed Beta Launches December 16th

Good news for fans of the Guild Wars series, as ArenaNet has announced the closed beta for Guild Wars 2 begins tomorrow, December 16th. However, the bad news is this closed beta will not be open to the public and participants are being hand-selected by ArenaNet. The closed beta is still under NDA as well, so if anyone gets in, odds are they will not be talking. ArenaNet did say it plans to add more people to future phases of testing depending on the feedback received during the closed beta. If it goes well, I expect we will see more people invited later on since any new MMO needs to test the servers and address any bugs. Guild Wars 2 still does not have a set release date, but since the closed beta starts tomorrow, an announcement on when the game comes out could arrive in the early part of next year.
