One week. Seven days. A mere 168 hours (or less) is all that separates us from playing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. I am sure I do not need to show you any footage of the game, as a quick scroll through our website will reveal plenty. For those unaware, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is the long awaited fifth entry in the venerable RPG series from Bethesda Game Studios. The game features an entirely new game engine, a new setting, and even a new approach to the classic RPG formula. Today is a good day for fans of The Elder Scrolls, as Bethesda has announced that Skyrim has gone gold. This means the game is finished, a master copy has been made, and it has been sent off to be produced en masse. We may still have a week to go before getting our hands on what will surely be an epic game, but we can at least rest knowing that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will soon be within our grasp.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim launches on November 11th for the PC, PS3, and 360.
