With studies being done to determine how video games can cause players to be more violent, researchers at Michigan State University have looked at a more positive result of games. After surveying 491 middle school students, both boys and girls, the researchers found the students who played video games were more creative than those who did not. The test to measure creativity had the students draw a picture, title it, and then write a story about it.
The relation between games and creativity was present for both boys and girls, and different race children, even when different kinds of games were favored by the children.
