Halloween may be over and the ghouls and goblins all put away for next year, but that does not mean scary games have to wait until next October to release. Konami wants to welcome gamers to the new year with three different Silent Hill games. Konami has confirmed that it will launch a new Silent Hill game in each of the first three months next year. The Silent Hill HD Collection will launch on January 24th, and includes Silent Hill 2 and 3 along with new voiceovers for the characters. In February, Silent Hill: Book of Memories will launch for the PlayStation Vita. Konami did not date that title, but considering the Vita launches on February 22nd, we could be looking at a launch title. Book of Memories focuses on a mysterious book that holds the protagonist's life story, but we can edit it to change the past or present. Lastly, March will see the release of Silent Hill: Downpour for the PS3 and 360. This marks the first console game since Homecoming in 2008, and in Downpour we take control of convicted felon Murphy Pendleton after his prison bus crashes outside of Silent Hill.
It looks like the first three months of 2012 will be quite scary indeed, as we first get to relive some classic Silent Hill games and then try out the new titles.
