The inevitable announcement that gamers have long awaited for is finally here. Grand Theft Auto V has been officially announced today by Rockstar Games, with a trailer scheduled on November 2, 2011, but what else do we know apart from the huge GTA V logo plastered all over the Rockstar Games website? Virtually nothing, although it has been speculated for months that a fictionalized version of Los Angeles, Los Santos, will be the game's next setting. A rumored casting call from a few months back also hints at a multiracial cast of characters.
Sadly, as with all of Rockstar's previous GTA titles, GTA V will most likely be enjoyed first by Xbox 360 and PS3 owners, although PC gamers are usually well-rewarded after several long months of waiting with the best-looking version of GTA, so there's that to look forward to. Speaking of graphics, Grand Theft Auto IV has aged beautifully on the PC, what with the plethora of mods such as iCEnhancer's stunning graphical makeovers to the game. Could Grand Theft Auto V be even prettier? We'll have an answer to that by next week.
