Earlier, we reported on the possibility of BioWare's upcoming RPG, Mass Effect 3, including some form of multiplayer. An online multiplayer pass was revealed to be included with the Collector's Edition copy of the game, and now it seems we know why. Australian games magazine PC PowerPlay has revealed that Mass Effect 3 includes multiplayer, possibly even a form of co-op since the magazine's tag line mentions fighting alongside your friends. It seems the magazine went to BioWare's office in Edmonton to try out the online component, and even asked project director Casey Hudson about the decision to include multiplayer in Mass Effect 3. I am hopeful the inclusion of multiplayer, even co-op, does not detract from the single player story of Commander Shepard, but I suppose we will just have to wait and see when Mass Effect 3 launches.
Mass Effect 3 will launch on March 6th, 2012, for the PC, PS3, and 360.
