In 2009, Rockstar released Red Dead Redemption on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game is set in the final days of the American wild west and lets your character, John Marston, roam an open world on horseback. RDR launched to much critical acclaim, but many people were waiting on a PC release before getting to experience it. When Rockstar announced a console Game of the Year edition for Red Dead Redemption, many people thought a PC version would not be too far off. However, that does not seem to be the case as Rockstar has basically said Red Dead Redemption will never come to the PC. The company did not say that exactly, but rather that it brings a game to the computer when it is viable from a technical, developmental, and business standpoint. Rockstar ended by saying sometimes that is not always the case, which essentially translates to RDR will never come to the PC. Maybe one day it will be, but for the foreseeable future, it will not.
