For those who own a PlayStation 3, sometimes you just want to relive some of the classic PlayStation 2 games. If you missed out on getting a backwards compatible PS3, your best bet is to hope for an HD remake of some PS2 games. There have been several released over the last couple of years and some more on the horizon, but those don't cover a ton of PS2 games so far. Aside from hooking up your old PS2 or finding one at a store, you do not have much of an option to play the old PS2 games. However, all of that will change later this month as the PlayStation Network will offer some classic PS2 games for sale on the PS Store. These games are not remastered and lack trophies, so these appear exactly how they did on the PS2. These games are part of the "Only on PlayStation Network" campaign, and include new games and DLC for the PS3, as well as some classic PS2 games. The games available this month will be: God Hand, GrimGrimoire, Maximo: Ghosts to Glory, Odin Sphere, and Ring of Red. The games will start to roll out tomorrow, October 4th, and should carry on through the rest of the month. Hopefully, Sony continues releasing classic PS2 games after October ends, giving us gamers more of a chance to expand our games collection.
