SteelSeries has made its latest gaming mouse, the Sensei, available for purchase. The Sensei is touted to be the "most customizable mouse in the world" by SteelSeries, featuring a 32 bit ARM CPU. The ARM chip enables the mouse to perform calculations itself without relying on software drivers or the PC. The ARM CPU runs the SteelSeries ExactTech suite of settings, including the ability to change CPI in intervals of 1, between 1 and 5700CPI (Counts Per Inch) dubbed ExactSens, along with automatic acceleration and deceleration of the mouse pointer (ExactAccel and ExactAim). This is combined with an adjustable lift distance (ExactLift), teflon feet and three illuminated zones each displaying up to 16.8 million different colors. The 5700CPI laser sensor can be doubled to 11400CPI using the ARM processor, for uses such as multi-monitor configurations. A LCD screen is included on the bottom of the mouse, enabling settings to be changed without any software. The Sensei also supports the SteelSeries Engine utility, giving users more advanced macro capabilities. The SteelSeries Sensei gaming mouse weighs in at 102g and is available now for US$89.99 (€89.99).
