Homefront Sequel Being Developed by Crytek UK

Earlier this year, THQ released the game Homefront. The game sold well, 2.6 million copies, but critically it did not score well and as a result THQ's stock dropped some. The publisher did hint that sequels for the game could come, but when the developing studio, Kaos Studios, was closed, all hope seemed to have faded. However, that is not the case as THQ has confirmed the sequel to Homefront is on track and is being developed by Crytek UK. Crytek UK is the studio formerly known as Free Radical before it was bought by Crytek, and worked on the critically acclaimed TimeSplitters series. The game has only been announced so not much is known about it, not even an official name, just that it will be released sometime during THQ's 2014 fiscal year. That could be any time between April 2013 and March 2014, so it will be some time before we can get our hands on the game. It will be released on the PC and "home console platforms," possibly meaning it will launch on whatever Sony and Microsoft have cooking up beyond the current consoles. There was no mention of Nintendo and the Wii U, so it looks like the Homefront sequel is just for PCs, the PlayStation, and the Xbox.
