Call of Duty Elite Gets a Price Tag

Activision has announced the pricing for its Call of Duty subscription service, Elite. Interested gamers will be set back $49.99 per year for access to all that Elite provides. For those willing to shell out the money, they will get early access to all map packs for Modern Warfare 3, and will also be able to enter tournaments to win prizes. Subscribers will also get access to a variety of video content. From the pro-commentated match reports to the "Noob Tube" featuring comments from actors Will Arnett and Jason Bateman. Friday Night Fights will be produced by Hollywood heavyweights Ridley and Tony Scott, and will feature battles between rivals such as Democrats and Republicans each week. The Modern Warfare 3 Hardened Edition comes with a year of the Elite service included in the price. Modern Warfare 3 will be released on November 8.

So, 50 a year gets me free DLC's? That's ridiculous.
