Many people are looking forward to Battlefield 3, especially with all the features that get revealed concerning the game. One feature that has been revealed today is about the length of time required to complete a kit. A kit for the different character classes include various weapons, gadgets, and unlocks for weapons. In order to fully unlock an entire kit for one class, you will need to devote around 100 hours. Yep, that's right, around 100 hours to unlock an entire kit for just one class. BF3's senior gameplay director Alan Kertz took to Twitter this weekend to announce that, and boy, does it sound like Battlefield 3 will have gamers playing for countless hours to experience everything. DICE is clearly aiming to keep gamers striving for the fully completed kits for a long time, so I am sure this will please many of you.

Battlefield 3 releases on October 25th for the PC, PS3, and 360.

100hours might not be so bad if it weren't for every single class. I couldn't see myself putting over 200hrs into anything other than an MMORPG.

I put over 46 hours into BC2 and was nowhere near unlocking any of the kits. XD

I have put over 1000 hours in BF2, more than 1300 on BF2142, and around 800 in BC2... seems like 400 hours for all the kits its going to be a piece of cake... lol... I wonder if they count vehicle classes as kits too, and takes 100 hours for each vehicle ulocks tree.

I have almost 350 hours in BC2 and I still play every once in a while. It would be nice to still have things unlocked when I'm still playing right now, so I like this news on BF3.

I meant to say, it would be nice to have things to unlock while playing after putting in 350 hours.

100... each? A little steep, even if I do have 250+ hours logged in BC2
